Please Help
Southeast Asia & Tsunami Relief
Tens of thousands have been killed … thousands more are missing and injured … in the largest earthquake to strike the globe since 1964, causing devastating tsunami waves.
The American Red Cross continues to maintain contact with our partners on the ground and is preparing to support operations with relief supplies, financial assistance and personnel as requested by the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies
An American Red Cross team of workers trained in relief supply distribution has been deployed to the affected areas. The American Red Cross also is coordinating with other sister Red Cross and Red Crescent societies to determine how best to equitably and effectively distribute an initial stockpile of relief supplies including tents, blankets, tarps, plastic sheeting, and hygiene kits.
